Not to forget the hot summer days of the Northwoods, Solei, a wheat ale spiced with bitter orange peel for a refreshing summer selection.
Stout/Porter - 2006 World Beer Cup Bronze Medal
There will be either a stout or porter beer to represent a black ale in our house selections. This too is a rotating selection on a seasonal basis. Our award-winning Blackbird Oatmeal Stout (2006 World Beer Cup Bronze Medal). For St. Patrick’s Day, our Cashel Bay Irish Dry Stout, which pours through a special faucet to make a light-bodied black beer with a thick, dense head. When the colder moths arrive, warm up with our Black Springs Double Stout, a higher alcohol stout beer. Occasionally a Porter will slip into the mix like our Baltic Porter, that has more of the crisp black malt character as well as more of a hop presence, that is consistently absent from stout beers.
