Whitetail Ale

A 2006 Gold Medal winner at the World Beer Cup in the Blonde Ale category. This has been Hereford and hops top selling beer for over 11 years running. The popular choice for domestic beer drinkers. It is a light to medium-bodied ale with light malt sweetness and a crisp dry finish. It has low levels of hop bitterness, hop flavor and aroma.

Style- Blonde Ale

Cashel Bay Stout
Our version of the Dry Irish Stout style that is served nitrogenated, so it will take a little longer to pour. This ale is black in color with a thick off white head. This beer contains lots of roasted barley which imparts the dark color, coffee flavors and a distinctive dry-roasted finish. This beer contains a high amount of hop bitterness and bitterness imparted from the roasted barley, and no hop flavor or aroma.

Style- Dry Irish Stout

Cleary Red

A 2005 Bronze Medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival in the Irish Red Ale category. It is a copper colored ale with medium body and some residual sweetness from the caramel malt used in the brewing process. This beer has medium hop bitterness, light hop flavor and no hop aroma.

Style- Irish Red Ale

Harmony Wheat

An unfiltered American Wheat style beer. This beer is golden in color with a slight haze from the wheat and yeast. This beer is brewed with about 25% wheat so that the wheat haze remains suspended. This beer has a light to medium body with some yeasty characteristics in the flavor and mouth feel. This beer has low-medium hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. You should be able to pick up some of the fruity aroma that is typical of this beer style.

Schwarzbier

A 2004 Gold medal winner at the World Beer Cup and a 2005 Bronze Medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival. Schwarz means black in German, and this beer is definitely black in color. There is a lot of roasted malt character found in this beer, but without the roasted malt bitterness that is usually associated with a beer of this color. This lager has lower levels of hop bitterness, along with low levels of noble hop flavor and aroma.

IPA

Our American version of the classic English India Pale Ale (IPA). This copper colored ale has a higher level of alcohol that most of our beers and definitely has the most hops used in the brewing process. This beer contains very high levels of hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. Hidden among the hops is medium bodied beer with medium maltiness which helps balance the perceived hop bitterness. This beer is a must for all of the hopheads out there.

Style- American IPA

Lancaster Lager

This amber lager has a nice balanced between the malty sweetness and hop bitterness. This beer has a medium body and some malt sweetness. It is brewed using all noble German hops which are evident in the flavor and aroma.

Style- Amber lager

Blown Kilt Nut Brown Ale

A dark amber-colored Brown Ale. This ale contains a hint of nuttiness that comes from the use of Victory Malt that is used during the brewing process. This beer has a medium body along with some malt sweetness. This beer has a perceived medium level of hop bitterness and low levels of hop flavor and aroma.

Style- Nut Brown Ale

Hop Rocket

Our version of the American Amber style of beer. This beer is amber in color and has a medium-high body. There is a medium amount of maltiness to be found is this beer but this ale is dominated but the hops. This beer contains medium-high levels of hop bitterness, a high levels and hop flavor and aroma. You will note hits of citrus in the flavor and aroma that is contributed by the American hops used.

Style- American Amber Ale

ESB

This beer is an English style Extra Special Bitter (ESB). This copper colored ale is full bodied with some malt sweetness and malt complexity. This beer is dominated by the high levels of hop bitterness and flavor, and a medium level of hop aroma. There is a definite English hop profile that can be perceived in this beer.

Style- English Strong Bitter

Dortmunder

A regional variation of the European Pilsner, also known as the European-Style Export. This beer is golden in color and has a medium body with a low level of malt sweetness. This lager has a medium level of hop bitterness and low levels of hop flavor and aroma.

St. Edmund’s Porter

This Robust Porter is dominated by the complex malt flavors. Several different types of malted barley are used in the brewing process to give this complexity. The dark malts give this ale its dark color and some of the malt bitterness, but this is balanced by the residual sweetness from the caramel malts used. This beer has low levels of hop bitterness, flavor and aroma.

Maibock

A traditional German Heller (light colored) Bock that is golden in color. This is a full bodied beer that is dominated by the malt characteristics. This lager has quite a bit of residual malt sweetness and malt aroma. All of the hop levels are low and served to somewhat balanced this malt driven beer. As will all Bocks, this beer is of higher alcohol strength than regular beers.

Kulmbacher

This dark amber lager is a regional variation of the Munich Dunkel. This lager is slightly sweet with a moderate mouth feel. Some light bready or biscuit flavors can be noted along with a hint of chocolate. The hop bitterness balances the malt sweetness well and there are low levels of hop flavor and aroma.

Panther Pils

This is a European Style that is straw in color. It has a dry finish and a medium body. The hop bitterness is moderate for this lager and it has low levels of hop flavor and aroma.

Style- European Pilsner

Get Down Brown

This is a deep copper colored American Brown Ale. This beer is on the lighter side of the style for color and bitterness. This ale does have some caramel sweetness and hits of chocolate with other malt sweetness. This beer has high levels of hop flavor and aroma.

Soleil

This beer is our summer ale. IT is a twist on the Belgian Wit Style. IT is brewed with German wheat and English oats and Curacao bitter orange peel. This beer is somewhat higher in alcohol and has an apparent light body. This ale has a low-medium level of hop bitterness and hop flavor and no hop aroma.

Allegheny Pale Ale

This beer is deep golden colored American Style Pale Ale. This ale is characterized by the high levels of use of American variety hops used for bitterness, flavor and aroma. This has a medium body and low level of maltiness and sweetness but these are overshadowed by the hop characteristics. If you link American hops this beer is for you.

Blackbird Stout

Bronze Medal winner at the 2006 World Beer Cup in the Oatmeal Stout Category. This full bodied beer is black in color and has a smooth flavor profile that is rich from the use of oats in the grist. A roasted malt character is present but it is not bitter. There is some caramel sweetness and undertones of chocolate present. There is a moderate amount of hop bitterness and no hop flavor and aroma.

Style – Oatmeal Stout

Scottish Export

This beer is dominated by malt characteristics. There is a definite malt aroma along with some malt sweetness. This golden amber colored ale has just enough hop bitterness and to somewhat balance the malt sweetness. The hop flavor and aroma are very low. This beer is fermented at a lower temperature than all of our other ales.

Oktoberfest

This lager is dominated by malt characteristics and has a deep reddish brown color. There is a complex malt profile that includes hints of bread or biscuits in the flavor and the aroma along with some residual malt sweetness. This beer has a medium level of hop bitterness to balance the malt sweetness. This is a low to medium level of hop flavor and no hop aroma.

Style – German Oktoberfest
